Rolling Stone: Bob Dylan, Hole, Mary J. Blige among Bumbershoot headliners

May 28, 2010

Bob Dylan, Mary J. Blige, Hole and Weezer are among the headliners of the 2010 Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival, according to the latest issue of Rolling Stone.

The magazine's summer-festival preview surveys major music festivals across the country, including Outside Lands in San Francisco, Mile High Music Festival in Denver, Chicago's Lollapalooza and Tennessee's Bonnaroo. With standard advance-day passes costing $40, Bumbershoot is "one of the best values of the season," Rolling Stone writes.

One Reel, the Seattle nonprofit that presents Bumbershoot, had said earlier it would officially announce this year's lineup on Tuesday, the same day tickets go on sale. It was not immediately clear why Rolling Stone reported headliners early, and no one at One Reel returned calls for comment.

Bumbershoot takes place Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-6, at Seattle Center. The 2010 festival marks its 40th anniversary.

Tickets this year range from $22 for an advance, single-day, limited Economy pass to $450 for a three-day Platinum pass. They'll be available starting Tuesday at www.bumbershoot.org/tickets.
