MARY J BLIGE’S Zimbabwe SHOW HANGS BY A THREAD

December 18, 2010
Tonight’s Mary J Blige show hangs by a thread as the Grammy award singer is said not to be in the country.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) who are part of the organisers have not issued any comments to the media so far, leaving music lovers doubting whether the show will ever take place.

Calls to all the organisers have gone unanswered. On her twitter page she does not even mention anything about having a show in Zimbabwe. Neither is there anything on a facebook or official website.

But yesterday evening The Zimbo Jam spoke to Impeccable Events, the main organisers, and they said that Mary J was facing some logistical problems and that there was a chance that the show will move to Sunday. Since then, the calls made to the organisers were all in vain.

The multiple hit-maker was expected in Harare yesterday and scheduled to perform today in the evening at the huge Jaggers Msasa Warehouse.

Blige was being brought into the country by Impeccable Events with the support of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. Representatives of Impeccable Events, Belinda Mutinhiri and Studio 263 Actress, Tinopona Katsande, were unreachable at the time of going to press.

As of now we can safely say that the show is doubtful.
