Mary J. Blige Wins 2011 NAACP Image Award

Congratulations to Queen Mary J. Blige, on winning an award at The 42nd NAACP Image Awards Friday in Los Angeles last night. Blige was recognized at the civil rights group's annual celebration, of people of color in the arts for "Outstanding Female Artist".

In 2010, Queen of R&B had also won at the NAACP Image Awards for "Outstanding Female Artist" & Outstanding Album "Stronger with Each Tear". Also NAACP history shows Mary winning in 2007 also for "Outstanding Female Artist" & Outstanding Music Video "Be Without You".

Among some nominated winners last night with Mary J. Blige were Tyler Perry, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Terrence Howard, Alicia Keys and Fantasia. She ties Alicia Keys & Whitney Houston for the most wins in the category
